Ok, I lied. I haven't designed anything creative for almost a year now. Instead, I've been taking a lot of pictures of faraway places, like Utah. In effort to combine my photos with deisgn, I'm working on a self-assigned project for the National Park Service (no, they don't know about it).

This first poster is featuring Zion's most traversed hike, and quite possibly one of the most dangerous hikes in the park, Angel's Landing. It's said that only angels could land on the precipice. Did I hike it while I was there? Nope. I hiked a much more difficult, higher, and taxing trail to get a picture of the hike that people bought t-shirts to boast about hiking.

I've added a new "Sketchbook" section to the portfolio area. Randomly I come across layouts that I like, tutorials that I try out, and sometimes, I just need to make something for myself. This new section is a growing collection of images that I've quickly designed.

Postcard for a local restaurant

Front of postcard

We said goodbye to the dreary wet skies of Portland, OR and hit the road for three weeks. Our trip ultimately landed us in Michigan, our home state, to visit family and see my brother graduate from high school. Along the way, we saw some amazing rocks, met some escapees, and ate some sandy hot dogs. Ahhh, it was refreshing to be outside again.
